Callum Greaves along with 3 other serving marines Kyle, Ryan, Ben, will be running from Hamworthy Barracks (RM Poole) along the Jurassic Coast to CTCRM.
We run in pairs and complete the distance over two days. As a competitive group of friends we signed up to do the race to set ourselves a challenge.
Having met the Old Soldier last year at the Commando Beach Assault competition on Exmouth Beach and knowing how stress can have a massive affect on lives during and post being in the services, we recognise how important it is to help each other to get through difficult times and want to do what we can for a worthwhile cause.
The race is a total of 84 miles, meaning both pairs will be running just over 20 miles each on both days.
The route includes the “Rollercoaster” , from Lulworth Cove over to the Smugglers Cove and finishing on the final day running up and over Woodbury Common and down the lanes around Lympstone, familiar to all us all from recruit training, to the finish point in CTC.
