*UPDATE* I have now decided to do a 10k instead of a 5k!
My fundraiser is a 5k run on the completion of the Couch to 5k programme.
I started lockdown rather overweight and a bit down with it. I decided that lockdown would be the perfect time to do something about how I feel as I did not want to be overeating and getting lazy. My husband showed me battle ready 360 masterclass’, which is are run by Ollie and Foxy from SASWDW. It has really helped changed my mindset in a positive way. One of the points of the masterclass is to set goals outside of your comfort zone. I decided to do the Couch to 5k, which for me finishes in July. I wanted to have a purpose for it and because I have been touched by Foxy’s, and other peoples stories of PTSD and other mental health issues, it made sense that I do something to raise awareness and money for Rock2Recovery.
Anyone who knows me knows I am not a runner and not in shape so it’s quite a challenge.
An amazing community aiming to raise funds through various events for Rock2Recovery. Come and join the team:
