“As a Former Royal Marine I was introduced to Rock 2 Recovery in Sept. 2019. Being almost 50 I’ve spent a lifetime of childhood trauma compounding upon itself. The three years leading up to that point had been the worst, at times i felt lower than rock bottom and at serious risk to myself, even though i was having help through the NHS and privately, some therapies offered brief respite, some made matters worse, much worse.

I felt I had nowhere left to turn and that i was beyond help, but I was urged to make contact with R2R for assistance by another former RM, the support was immediate and in a matter of months Rock 2 Recovery has helped turn my life around even though my issues were not service related.

I am running the JURASSIC COAST 100km Ultra CHALLENGE 16/17th May as a show of Massive, Massive Gratitude, giving back to this Fantastic Organisation so they can continue helping fellow suffering veterans and service personnel for the foreseeable future…..   The Challenge starts at Poole Harbour, from Studland on to Corfe Castle, across to Lulworth Cove, past Durdle Door, with ups and downs all the way to the Weymouth halfway point. It’s then on past Portland Bill and Nature Reserves, along to the western end of Chesil Beach to West Bay’s famous cliffs (of TV’s Broadchurch fame) – before a finish line celebration in vibrant Bridport.”
