Sally Smither Harvey
It seems like a long time ago now that we were only just starting out on our journey of FUNdraising. Right from the beginning Sally helped us get of the ground and we will never forget her support. She was always there to help get us over the next target and even joined us to run some events for us. It was amazing to get to know Sally and we look forward to seeing her soon.
Gemma was at our first event in April 2016 and she was fit then but now she is a crossfit extraordinaire! Our youngest recruit was the amazing Braiden who “wanted to help the sick soldiers” Not only was Braiden only 7 but he has been an incredible supporter of Team Fortitude, not only has he smashed his FUNdrasing target, but he also earnt a virtual medal this year too! And yes… he is only 7! We are hoping that Braiden will be back this year to do another mud run… watch this space!
Kate has had an inspirational journey this year too, having conquered many fears and i am sure taking part in many more mud runs then she ever expected too getting stronger each time. She really thought outside the box when it came to FUNdraising and got her whole family involved by walking up the London Eye and getting sponsored for with all the funds going to Rock2Recovery and Kates page. Also this year Kate completed Break Point.
Natasha was also at our first race and waited for us both to finish dragging ourselves around the course in Kent! Since then she has been a supportive member of the group and involved in many events raising as much as she can! He dedication has been fantastic and we are delighted that she is staying part of the Team for 2017.

The Hooker Family
The hooker family were our first family to come and join us and we were so delighted to have them. They have as a family done events, fund raised, walked 5k’s and been a huge part of the team! We are so grateful that they have already signed up for another family event in May and we cant wait to meet them all. You guys all rock x
Clare joined Team Fortitude late in 2016 and she gave her all to get herself ready for the BreakPoint event. She was amazing on the day, and i think got lots out of it! She has been a great team member in 2016 and has made some new friends. Looking forward to seeing what challenges Clare sets herself in 2017
Crystal is a huge supporter of Team Fortitude and we honestly admire all her hard work and determination. She joined late in the year and with no help got herself through one of the most challenging events we have ever seen, she smashed BreakPoint. Not only has her physical hard work this year been incredible, spending 36 hours on a treadmill but her desire to make as much as she can for Rock 2 Recovery has been amazing. Her creativity and humour has been great, and we are delighted that she is staying for 2017!
Chris joined Team Fortitude halfway originally to help make numbers up for our Team Elite event at BreakPoint but what happened is… we made a friend and a keen supporter of all that we do! Chris was also a huge support to his wife Morag and i am sure he will be at the finish line of the night swim with a lovely warm hot chocolate for us both hint hint haha
Nikki was another one of the Team that really embraced what we are doing, she went outside of her comfort zone to help others. She regiestered to take part in our toughest event on the Calendar Break Point and she really went beyond. She raised a huge amount for us and we are delighted she was part of the Team. We wish Nikki luck in everything that she does in 2017
Eloise has been a great part of Team Fortitude and has done many events already in 2016. She has signed up to take part in the Goppin Challenge in May so if anyone is looking for an event to do with a seasoned Pro then do let us know and we can add you to her team! Really looking forward to seeing what Eloise achieves in 2017
If we had a title for longest supporter or traveler then it would go to Roger who flew in to take part at our Team Elite Event at Break Point that even though he was jet lagged he was epic! Roger is joining us again in 2017 and heading back to Break Point for the 2 day event.. we know he will be just as amazing at that one too!
Caroline joined Team Fortitude and hasnt stopped being an active member! She is a huge supporter and we love having her one the team! She has smashed her fundraising total which she thought she couldnt do which is amazing. She is staying with in 2017 doing Pen Y Fan, the yomp and BreakPoint! This is going to be a great year from Caroline and we are delighted to be with her in it.
Tessa has been incredible in 2106 she has challenged herself to do many different cycle events all to raise funds, she smashed her fundraising total and STILL supports us! She not only keeps the donations coming in but she is also great at spreading the word. Looking forward to seeing Tessa in 2107
Clare has put herself outside her comfort zone in 2016 and got muddy to raise money for Rock2Recovery. In order to get more funds she has done bake sales in her work places that have looked amazing! She knows, the next one she has… we are there!! Amazing work and support. Clare is staying with us this year and climbing Pen Y Fan in April.
Emma has been hugely focused on her journey with Team Fortitude. She joined us to go to our Team Elite event at Break Point and threw herself into the training to get herself ready. She was amazing on the day, and we hope that she is as proud of herself as we are of her. She has really got into doing all she can to support Rock 2 Recovery and we look forward to seeing her in July at the 2 day Break Point event.
Although Emma started out this year as part of Team #MuDRocks she is also in her own right one of the biggest fundraisers that we have had this year! Her support has been immense and she still continues to raise funds to support Rock2Recovery. Altough unable to participate in events Emma, commited to do what she could to support and has done bakes sales at work and at her childrens schools. We are SO proud of her and all that she has achieved. Delighted to have her support in 2017 too. Thank you Emma
We have huge respect for everyone who does an event to raise funds, but we have a little extra respect for people who do things that are so far outside their comfort zone to help others and this is what Kerry did. Not a great swimmer, she set herself a swimming challenge to raise funds for Rock 2 Recovery and for that we are so grateful.
Team Fortitude isnt just about getting physical for Rock 2 Recovery it is about doing what you can. Brenda has been such a huge supporter from the beginning in helping us meet our targets. I can still remember when we were aiming for our first £1,000! Every like, share, comment and re tweet is so important and we are grateful for all the time you give us Brenda! Look forward to meeting you this year hopefully 🙂
